The first Byrne Ballarat Pinot Noir, vintage 2010, is now available.  The Ballarat Pinot has a new pattern on the flocked label which indicates some of the flavour elements of the wine.  The repeating pattern is made up of leaves, cherries, star anise and the occasional hare.

2010 Chardonnay

The 2010 Byrne Ballarat Chardonnay recently received a Bronze medal at the 2011 Ballarat Wine Show.  As always there was a strong field of wines from across the state so it is great to be given this recognition at the local wine show.

The 2009 Pinot Noir labels are finally ready to go.  In the pursuit of interesting and original textural labels there have been many difficulties but now they are finished and it was all worth it.  This is a low resolution shot of the proof but you should be able to see – and feel - them on a bottle very soon.

Loam staff

The 2010 Byrne Chardonnay is for sale at Loam restaurant on the Bellarine Peninsula.  Loam is the first restaurant to sell the wine and has it on the wine list by the bottle and by the glass.  It is great to have the wine in one of country Victorias leading restaurants, the team at Loam really know their food and are very skillful at food and wine matching too.

Soon this website will have Byrne wines for sale with winemaking and tasting notes.  It will also have ongoing opinions on wine related topics and an open conversation on relevant issues.
